Our Home Trial Support service increases retention and participation in clinical trials whilst also providing a positive patient experience by reducing the burden of sites visits for patients and their families.
Our team of specialist homecare nurses are able to visit a patient during a clinical trial and conduct aspects of the study in the home, leading to a more community-based clinical trial model.
Our service enables a range of protocol and procedures to be conducted in the patient’s home, from collecting blood samples to administering complex medication via infusions. Our nurses cover a broad spectrum of therapy areas and are trained in the protocols and requirements of the study as well as ICH–GCP.
A community-based clinical trial model shows that supporting a patient through a trial in the home:
Reduces the number of sites visits and significantly lessens the burden on patients and their families
Increases Trial Participation
Increases the retention of patient participating in Clinical Trials
Reduces the burden on clinical trial sites by lessening the resources and allowing further studies to take place
Provides a positive patient experience leading to better health outcomes
