A rapid antigen test looks for the presence of specific proteins called antigens based on the surface of the virus from a nose or throat swab sample.
A simple nasal swab is taken and applied to the lateral flow device. Results are then provided within 15 minutes. Please watch our video below on how to take a rapid antigen test.
– Please ensure you complete the registration to the online portal before your virtual meeting
– Download Microsoft Teams if logging in through a mobile/tablet
– Ensure you have a stable internet connection (1/2MB’s)
Your results will be ready within 15-20 minutes after your sample has been applied to the device.
Your fit to fly certificate will be made available in your Recova portal for you to download after your negative result allowing you to travel internationally. You will receive your certificate during your appointment.
For photographic tests results will be sent within 24 hours after photo submission.
Dial into your virtual appointment (video call) with your lateral flow test kit and one of our trained testers will oversee you taking the test.
After 15 minutes you will receive a fit-t0-fly certificate to allow you travel if your result is negative.
Yes you will receive this certificate shortly after your negative result. You will be notified by email when your result is ready in your portal.
The tests we use meet the performance standards of ≥97% specificity, ≥80% sensitivity at viral loads above 100,000 copies/ml.
For virtual appointments, we use Flowflex™ SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test Sensitivity: 97.1%, Specificity: 99.6%.
